Today is her big day, 27 January 2007. The gorgeous The Breakfast Show on NTV7’s host Daphne Iking is getting married today in Bali with Ryan, the guy he met on the set of KL Lights back in October 2005. He was the executive producer and she was one of the stars of the show. The timing was right; Daphne’s on-off affair at the time was disintegrating around July and Ryan came into the picture in October. The wedding will be attended by her close friends and relatives.

Anyway, just because they don’t ’suit’ each other in terms of looks, you shouldn’t come to the conclusion that she is a gold-digger. There are even good-looking girls who marry good-looking guys for the money.
And who are we to judge other people’s qualities based on their looks, or the people they choose to marry? It’s like the pot calling the kettle black. And it’s not like you know Daphne’s husband personally, Jason. If she can look beneath the surface, kudos to her. We have too many people hitching up for looks only - that’s as shallow as how deep beauty gets.
Which is merely skin-deep, unfortunately.
This type of odd coupling definitely happens a lot more often in Malaysia than in the West. Oh well, good place for me to become a sugar daddy one day. LOL
Kadazans are genetically related to Chinese, aren’t they?
Haha odd couplings aren’t always a bad thing, brother.
National Geographic did this weird genetic tracking some time back and I heard that they linked Kadazans with the Mongolians because of the blue mark that appears on the behinds of babies from both races.
Whatever it is, you can’t call a Kadazan a Chinese. Whether they have had common ancestors last time or not is not of much importance when it comes to official documentation, because their cultures are now distinctively different and are officially recognised as such. If I’m not mistaken the one that is Chinese here is Daphne’s husband. Hmm.
Anyway a toast to Daphne and Ryan’s marriage. The fact that Daphne knows that her husband is no ‘Brad Pitt’ (a probable reference to his looks) but still marries him for his personality is something to take note of. Besides we all grow old and lose our physical beauty with age. What is left to shine is only our inner beauty. Too bad we often overlook that!
Maybe because inner beauty is harder to quantify that more quantifiable factors can take a forefront in calculating your interest in that person- especially in the initial stages of meeting people- eg. intelligence, education, ambition, money, habits (smoking, drinking, shopping sprees), looks, fitness, etc.

Daphne is a celebrity in her own right and I think she earns enough to have a comfortable life on her own , and her hubby isn’t exactly a multi-millionaire , so what are you saying ? Anyway , gold-diggers are everywhere in every nook n corner of the world so don’t be quick to judge . Peace !

Heard she is in a deep shit now.Her hubby investigated her past background and found out about her affair and wildness.DNA proved their baby isn’t his! She got kicked out and he sued her 1mil for reputation damage.
