David Beckham is to help redesign the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer kit.The British sporting superstar, who moves to the US this summer after agreeing a five-year £128 million deal, is pitching his ideas to revamp the team’s garish yellow and green strip.Tim Leiweke, president of AEG who own the club, said: “We have a good name but we need a more legendary, traditional kind of look and the kit and badge will change.”We made a decision that it was time to start thinking how we can create a world brand.”David Beckham will obviously help enormously with that and we can’t wait to see him here.” David’s new contract begins on July 1, after his current deal with Spanish club Real Madrid ends. A team source said: “Given that David’s arrival is a major chapter in the club’s history, it has been decided that the club kit should have a whole new look.”
Will Beckham’s touch turn into gold? Los Angeles Galaxy soccer kit known to be so drab with yellow and green stripes. With tacky logo. Hope Beckham can add a lil’ bit of glamour to it. Haha, everyone is giving the Beckham’s a hard time. I realize that Beckham joining MLS will definitely change the face of American soccer. And obviously, some people are going to support the change or not as normal with any change. Regardless, I think we should focus on what Cobi Jones is doing right now– it’s his last season and we should give him the attention he rightfully deserves. he’s also doing this awesome publicity stunt with http://cobi.kabillion.com (new kids network like nick or Disney) where he teaches kids how to do soccer tricks and then they can upload videos of them doing their best trick and the best one each week wins an autographed Cobi Jones soccer ball. I think Cobi really gets what it’s all about, and that is the children. Likewise, the site has music, complete free original programming such as Bobby’s World, games, chat, and lots of other goodies.
