Star Academy vs Akademi Fantasia Malaysia!

While Akademi Fantasia 5 in Malaysia has only started to hot up, I simply couldn’t help comparing the show with other versions of the Academy around the world. Akademi Fantasia is actually a franchise of reality show better known as Star Academy, a reality tv show conceptualized by Gestmusic, a Spanish branch of Endemol, a Netherland-based TV production company. The first country to broadcast the format, however, was France on October 20th, 2001. In Argentina, it’s called Operación Triunfo, in Brazil it’s known as Fama, in Philippine it’s called Pinoy Dream Academy, in Indonesia it’s called Akademi Fantasi Indosiar. There’s not much different in content from country to country. A group of students will be coached at undisclosed location and will be performing every week at a concert. Winners will be voted by SMS.

AF Malaysia is already losing popularity. And the fact that they have that god-awful loud-mouth Ogy Ahmad Daud is just another reason not to watch that dismal program. The students are mostly without talent and Ogy’s constant and shameless drive to grab as much of the limelight as she can is unbearable to watch. Every week she screeches and talks and talks and talks as if AF is ALL ABOUT OGY!

She just does not know how to behave does she!!

    *bump*

im from singapore. Star Academy rules. Its so much better than Akademi Fantasia. (though this statement is lil bit bias cause i never watched Akademi Fantasia before). haha. but look at Mawi, he’s not good. Shatha Hassoun, in the other end, is good. Shes versatile, she can singa arabic, francais, and english… can Mawi or the other contestants of AF can? Mhammad Qammah’s good too.

Bahiba l libnan w StarAc! Woo… and all the way Shatha!

Very bad, your info is horrible, Akademi Fantasia is not a franchise of Star Academy, Akademi Fantasia is a franchise of “LA ACADEMIA” I am from Mexico, so I watched the copy “LA ACADEMIA” and the endemol’s version of Star Academy, in Mexico as in Argentina and Spain, was called “Operación Triunfo”.

LA ACADEMIA, is a copy of “Operación Triunfo or better known as Star Academy” and was sold in diferents countries of Asia.
