Starting from a peck on the cheek at the tennis court, the love has blossomed for the two. Paradorn Srichaphan, 28Â is a top rated Asia’s tennis player and was former world’s top ten until he slipped out of the radar, out of the top 50 world’s best tennis player last year. He’s currently ranked 57th in the ATP’s ranking. A good friend of Glebova told the media that the Canadian beauty of Russian descent was not only wearing an engagement ring but also confirming to friends that it was an engagement ring early last week, Paradorn however remains tight-lipped until yesterday about their engagement.

Natalie Glebova, 25 is the former Miss Universe, an award that she won at a pageant held in 2005 in Thailand. The very first time the public saw the two together was last year when she kissed Paradorn as a reward for beating Tim Henman in the quarter-finals of the Thailand Open, which she attended as Singha’s brand ambassador. The give-away clues about their relationship came in February, when they admitted they were “special” friends. The Srichaphans have given the beauty queen the Thai name Piangfah and the nickname Fah, while Srichapan the tennis ace, “Ball” It is expected that the couple will tie the knot by the end of the year which is expected to be the wedding of the year in 2007 in Thailand. Natalie is currently residing in Thailand.

Paradorn’s father Chanachai told the press that the two were already engaged privately on April 13 in Bali, Indonesia. The family organised the press conference to officially inform the public of their commitment to each other. Thanakorn said Paradorn planned to play tennis for three or four more years. He will then retire and run his own business by opening a 50-rai sports complex in Pattaya, where the couple will build their home.Natalie plans to keep her last name and will be called Natalie Glebova Srichaphan.

According to Srichaphan, “It’s once in a lifetime that a man has to decide to settle down and have a family and I have only one chance to do this and Natalie is my Ace.” Paradon said. “Natalie is definitely going to be a daughter-in-law for the Thai people.” “Ever since we met I knew that he was a down-to-earth, humble person,” said Natalie, adding in Thai: “Fah rak phi Ball,” or “I love brother Ball.” Tennis ace Paradorn Srichaphan’s brother Thanakorn said on Tuesday his brother will wed his fianc้e, Natalie Glebova on November 28 at Royal Thai Navy Convention Hall in Thon Buri.

I am from your neighbor country and my wife is a Russian too. It took me a couple of years to find the right one before I could go to Russia to marry my wife. My friends and relatives thought at the beginning that she would marry me for the US green card. All I can say Russian wife is just wonderful. My wife is not only pretty with her Scandinavian appearance but she is very sincere and homely. I am 16 years her senior and could not find anyone in America like her well educated, pretty, old fashioned, family oriented and agreed to marry an old man like me (I’m over 40). People in Thailand don’t much appreciation towards Paradorn because of his bossy mother, but I think time will prove if their love is true. Luckily enough, his mother welcomes Natalie so well.
