These two girls have been really popular amongst Youtubers on the internet. Between the two, Lonelygirl15 was the first to rise to stardom with millions of people subscribing to her channel around the world. However, later on, it was revealed that she was a fake. She’s actually a real actress hailed from New Zealand but grew up in the States. Her name is Jessica Lee Rose. She was hired by an a production company simply to make a video blog on Youtube just to test their video production and marketing skills similarly those done by the producers of The Blair Witch Project. She will later on in the year play in a movie “I Know What Killed Me” alongside Lindsay Lohan. Hei, why not small budget producers in Asia do the same thing? or even any aspiring actresses who haven’t got their big break in the film industry make a video blog of themselves to the worldwide audience?

From what I hear, Youtube is starting to pay those Youtubers who have been successful as HAPPYSLIP AND LONELYGIRL15. If you don’t know where to start, you can always contact me HERE. What Happyslip and Lonelygirl15 have done is called USERTAINMENT. It’s a short for User Generated Entertainment. The advertising industry has also jumped on the bandwagon of the popularity of Youtube as a medium of promotions and advertising by inviting people around the world to a video blog about their products. With high value prizes, they definitely able to attract small amateur producers to make a short clip promoting their products. It’s way better than 10 seconds ad on National Media which costs more than USD10,000. It will only take a few days before your new products get communicated all over internet. Or if you would like to market-focus, you can always get HappySlip or Lonelygirl15 with more than millions of followers around the world on Youtube to do a special commercial for you and guess what, the video is permanent on Youtube and can be played over and over again unlike your 10-second ad. There’s actually more to this and not a matter of putting up the video on the web. But if you don’t know where to start, you can simply ask for consultation on video marketing and video blogging with me HERE.
