On February 2nd, last Saturday, American Idol winner Katharine McPhee, 23 exchanged “I do’s” with longtime boyfriend, producer Nick Cokas, 43 at Beverly Hills Presbyterian church in Los Angeles. As family and friends—including Idol classmates Mandisa and Kellie Pickler—enviably looked on, McPhee walked down the aisle in a strapless lace gown designed by Manuel Mota for Pronovias and Neil Lane jewels (diamond and platinum chandelier earrings and diamond and platinum bracelets). Katharine has been hoping to sell her wedding pictures for top dollars but sadly none of the top celebrity magazines wanted to buy them. People, In Touch and Ok! have all politely declined, although the amount she’s asking for was only USD50,000. I guess the tabloids just wouldn’t entertain a D-Lister. I guess nobody was sponsoring your wedding girl! She must be strapped for cash as she was recently dropped by her music label, RCA. Her self-titled album only managed to sell only 366,000 lame copies in the US. however she can next be seen in Anna Faris comedy I Know What Boys Like, out later this year. If I were an opportunist working in a music industry, I would definitely snap her up. How about SRC and any other record label in MALAYSIA? It’s not about securing the her signature sometimes. It’s the publicity in the States that we are after.. Better than some expensive advertisements on TV right?..What the reality products are going to end up in the end? I heard Taylor Hicks was also dropped by their record label. Back home, FAIZAL, winner of AF4 and SUKI’s singing career also going nowhere.
