Gangstarz - Season 2 is back on telly. But it’s the same old stuff with not much progress from the last episode. Although they have regional contestants i.e. those coming from Indonesia, Singapore, Phillippines and Thailand, but what’s the point if the people who can vote are those who reside in MALAYSIA only! That begs another question, why MEDIA PRIMA is not supporting local talents, groom them until they become international stars? Due to the broadcast made only to MALAYSIAN audience, you can bet that some of these participants are not even popular in their own country! The elimination of a bunch of jokers from Thailand i.e. PZG was expected and should have been done earlier. I think they were in just to make up the numbers so that you can have a good range of participations. If they were meant to be entertaining, they could as well bring in the patpong girls ! :)

KRU Indonesian branch is having a hard time promoting THE LIMA & MENDUA in their own country due to their lack of media coverage in Indonesia. Media Prima can really shoot up its earnings if they were able to pull off a regional support for GANGSTARZ. The critical success factor are volume and execution. In America, 56 millions sms votings are made at anyone episode. They just need to work out a win-win business model with the respective countries counterparts.

There are 11 groups left in Gang Starz now, from Malaysia, One Nation Emcees, Akasia and South Trio; from Indonesia Three Voices, D’Reborn and D’Raz; from Singapore Faith and Brown Tone; from Phillippines, 3.5 and Paragon Child and from Thailand, Step. Akasia and D’Reborn got potential to top the show.
