Actress Nur Fazura Sharifudin was acquitted and discharged by the Magistrate’s Court here today of a charge of causing hurt to a housewife at a bar four years ago. FAZURA was accused of causing hurt to Geraldine Mariana Wong, 33, at the Luna Pacific Bar, Regency Hotel & Apartments in Jalan Kia Peng, KUALA LUMPUR at about 1.20am on Dec 19, 2004. The charge under Section 323 of the Penal Code carries a maximum one year’s jail or RM2,000 fine, or both, on conviction. She was happy that this was over and regarded it as the best gift for her birthday and Hari Raya.
