I was at the PIKOM PC Fair just now. It was really packed with people even at the very last hour. It’s supposed to close at 9 pm but the crowd still perusing over the gadgets like nobody’s business beyond this hour mark. While I was making my way out, my eyes just couldn’t let go one poster that says, Samsung Omnia retailing at RM 2,229 each. Damn…outside it costs around RM 2,799. You save RM500.
The newly launched Samsung Omnia SGH-i900 mobile phone brings together high performance business content, top of the range style and a fun, dynamic multi-media experience, to ensure consumers are always connected both at home and at work. Omnia, meaning ‘everything’ in Latin and ‘wish’ in Arabic, goes beyond the current top-of-the-line features available in today’s mobile phones. Samsung OMNIA is probably the closest thing that we have in Malaysia to iphone besides HTC Touchpro (I know you can get iphone at Digital Mall, PJ…but…this is legal..). It boast a chic slender design with wide screen measuring at 3.2 inch. Omnia features a touch screen functionality. Samsung’s patented TouchWiz user interface makes entering data and text simple. With unique widgets, users can customise and personalise the way they use their phone. Other interesting features that Samsung Omnia has are 3G camera, GPS Navigator and Pocket Microsoft Word/Excel. Unfortunately, I am not into market for phones at the moment. My Dopod has served me well for the last few years. So if you are searching for real bargains, go to PC Fair tomorrow! Get your Samsung Omnia!
