Pooja Chopra was crowned the Pantaloons Femina Miss India-World 2009 on Monday, while Ekta Choudhary was crowned the Pantaloons-Femina Miss India-Universe 2009. Chopra, a resident of Pune, and Delhi resident Choudhary were awarded the titles at the beauty pageant held in Mumbai. Mumbai-resident Shriya Kishore was crowned Pantaloons Femina Miss Earth 2009. This year, the Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2009 took place at the Andheri sports club in Mumbai. The grand finale was hosted by famous actor Madhavan and actress Malaika Arora Khan. This year, the judges panel consisted of famous actor Bollywood, Ajay Devgan, ex-Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen, Ghajini actress, Asin Thottumkal, famous model turned actress, Deepika Padukone, and three times National film award winning movie director, Madhur Bhandarkar. Nevertheless, I still have doubts on Pooja’s ability to carry India to a winning reality at the world’s competition.
