Former Miss USA Shanna Moakler delivered a message Wednesday to Donald Trump: I quit.
Moakler, the reality star and ex-wife of drummer Travis Barker, resigned from her post with the Miss USA California organization. Moakler was upset by Trump’s surprised decision on Tuesday to let Miss California Carrie Prejean keep her crown despite controversy over her opposition to gay marriage and semi-nude photos from her teens. Moakler, a proponent of gay rights, said she could no longer associate with the pageant because of Prejean’s comments and Trump’s decision. In Malaysia or Singapore, Moakler would have been heckled and abused due to her stance. I guess the comments must be levelled directly to blogger, Perez Hilton who is gay who asked the sensitive question.
“I feel that at this time it is in my best interest to resign from the Miss California USA organization,” she told Us. “I cannot with a clear conscience move forward supporting and promoting the Miss Universe Organization when I no longer believe in it.” At a Manhattan news conference, Trump defended Prejean Tuesday for her position that marriage was between a man and a woman. She gave her answer during the April 19 Miss USA Pageant, owned by Trump. Prejean, 22, has charged the semi-nude photos were leaked by people angry over her opposition to gay marriage. Meanwhile pictures of CARRIE PREJEAN being topless have surfaced on the internet. This according to Prejean an attack on her privacy and try to undermine her. The Americans have hated this Miss California due to her holier than the homosexuals attitude, but not above taking her top off for money and fame. Great role model for all the kiddies out there, huhu?? Despite all these, Trump has decided to allow her to keep her crown.
