Lotus F1 Malaysia Launch

These are some of the pictures from yeaterday’s Lotus F1 team launch. The Team is sporting the commercial colour of Lotus i.e. green and yellow, as the team still is yet to find its main title sponsors after failing its bid to get PETRONAS on board. I think the colour is very similar to Jaguar team that quit long time ago. The new car – named T127 – carries the colours used by the legendary team back in the 1950s and 1960s. The names that have graced Lotus F1 racing team include the legendary, Clark, Moss, Hill, and Mansell. As Team Principal, Datuk Tony Fernandes had this to say, “We know we have a tremendous journey in front of us, we are honoured and cherished to be a part of history – we will leave no stone unturned in our efforts and we will do our best to return Lotus to its glory days.” the team is scheduled to begin testing at the Jerez circuit alongside rivals from next week. Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen will be the men in charge of racing the Lotus cars this year. The T127 is powered by a Cosworth Engine and will use an Xtrac gearbox.
