My family used to go to Geylang when we went to Singapore in the old days. Simply because it is so near to JB and the fact that we didn’t know the roads there quite well especially when back in the days, Garmin or something similar were not around yet.  We used to buy emping and most of my toys came from Singapore. But now, Geylang has really transformed. It’s a place where you get call girls. OMG.. Geylang is now known as the RED LIGHT DISTRICT in Singapore. Most people frequent the Lorong Geylang for the sex service.  This is something similar to Lorong Hj. Taib in Malaysia. Except that in Singapore, the prostitutes are not pondan or transvestite. They are real girls. Whatever Pak Hj. Taib did in his past life is beyond me to deserve a slimy road named after him..huhu..
